![]() Whether humans and vampires can live in harmony in this manner is still an open subject. In contrast to Yuuki, Zero regards the prefect position as a nuisance due of his anti-vampire sentiments he sees it as an opportunity to meet her hero, Kaname Kuran. In the Day Class, Yuuki and her stepbrother Zero Kiryuu are prefects and are working to keep the existence of the Night Class a secret from the rest of the students. In a school where humans and vampires are segregated by “Day Class and Night Class,” the protagonist, Yuuki Cross, is a high school student. It is set in a universe where vampires and humans cohabit together (unknowingly to humans). There is a similarity between Diabolik Lovers and Vampire Knight in that both take place in isolated mansions where humans and vampires coexist without the latter being aware of their real nature. ![]() Yuki’s naivete could be viewed as a weakness (same as Yui but a bit less due to her existing knowledge about vampires). ![]() Vampires are the lovely men who fell in love with Yuki, the protagonist of our story (luckily for us, because we all love a glance at handsome vampires). Ritsuka, as the title suggests, is the center of attention for the handsome members of the student council. When things take a sudden turn, Ritsuka is thrust into a deadly realm of vampires and demons battling it out for control of a powerful artifact that would allow them to take over the globe. The main character, Ritsuka Tachibana, is a model student, so she is taken aback when the student council summons her, portraying her as a problem. ![]() It’s lucky that these attractive monsters, despite their nature and future goals, fall in love with our heroine, one by one, just like vampires fall in love with Yui. To complete a decent Harem narrative, of course, we need to include a rather innocent and cute female character, right? Vampires and demons abound in Diabolik Lovers and Dance with Devils, respectively, as their titles suggest. ![]()
